Cesur Ertekin was born in Istanbul and raised in Miami. He is a licensed Florida realtor and yacht broker, and represents Xuma, the Ertekin family’s group of companies, alongside his father, Selçuk Ertekin.
He founded Xuma Realty, which advises Turkish and international investors on buying, developing and managing property in South Florida, and Xuma Yachts, a Miami yacht brokerage. He is studying artificial intelligence at the University of Miami.
Fluent in Turkish and English and at home in both cultures, he is also the family’s go-to person for parents facing the US school system: enrolment, the F-1 student visa, scholarships and financial aid, and choosing the right school in Miami.

- E-2 visa process: the E-2 route through the family’s rent-a-car business, Xuma Motors, from the investment to the visa.
