Dr. Uğur Dahar is the founder and managing partner of NovaCFO, a US-registered financial advisory firm. He works from Lisbon for entrepreneurs, freelancers and families who live or invest across borders, with operations in both Portugal and the United States.
He holds a PhD in forensic accounting and fraud auditing and an MBA from Sakarya University. He is a certified public accountant in Türkiye (SMMM), a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and a US Certified Public Bookkeeper. He spent almost twenty years at Garanti BBVA, including twelve as a branch manager in Ankara, then served as CFO of the fuel distributor Best Oil before founding NovaCFO in 2025.
